Courses: Andalucian Adventure - (residential
course painting on location)
Course starts on Sunday at 6.00pm and ends on Saturday after
breakfast
Last
year we discovered this delightful little hotel in the centre of
an unspoilt village just a few miles from Ronda. The tiny village
of Cartajima is one of the 7 ‘pueblos blancos’ or white
villages in the valley of the Alto Genal with its spectacular
mountain scenery. This is the perfect location for our painting
course. The views are stunning and the accommodation is all that
you could want, spacious and tasteful with every thought given
to your comfort (air conditioning, fluffy white bathrobes and towels,
hairdryer and tea tray with cookies and fresh fruit). The rooftop
terrace with its 360 degree views over the mountains and chestnut
groves makes an excellent outdoor studio. There is a small plunge
pool for cooling off. The food is excellent and freshly prepared
so evenings are for relaxation after a good meal in the large open
plan dining room before sitting on the rooftop terrace with a glass
of wine watching the sun set over the mountains.
As well as excursions to the other villages in the valley, there
will be a full day in Ronda, which is soaked in Moorish history
and has one of the most dramatic vantage points from the bridge
straddling the world famous gorge. Here is Spain’s oldest
bullring and a string of historic buildings. Leafy squares, narrow
alleys, shops and pavement cafes abound.
The course includes 6 nights full board accommodation
with en-suite facilities, all transfers and transportation in
Spain and painting
tuition. You arrange your own flight from your local airport and
we meet you at Malaga airport.
NB this is a course limited to just eight people sharing
in twin-bedded rooms.
