Courses: Around Norwich Cathedral Close

Our studio base for this course will be the medieval city parish church of St George, Colegate where, John Crome, the father of the Norwich School of Painters is buried. From here it is but a short walk to the Cathedral Close where we shall spend time on quick loose sketches in pen and ink. There will be some discussion of the results and a chance to develop our draughtsmanship and ability to capture an architectural setting. The Close offers a wide range of different architectural styles against a leafy backdrop.

At the end of the day we shall return to St George’s to share our insights and achievements.
