Homepage - Norfolk, a painter's county

Norfolk is famed for its huge skies, inland waterways and deserted beaches. The horizons are studded with windmills and medieval church towers. The county has been the birthplace of great masters of watercolour such as Crome, Cotman, Seago and many others. We shall be painting in many of the locations they have made famous.

The county is full of fascinating stories which makes painting in this landscape so rewarding. The tiny Broadland hamlet of West Somerton is our base for sketching some of the windmills that a Norfolk Giant once knew. While helping you to paint this landscape we shall unfold some of this rich heritage.
