  John Tookey A painter’s painter, John is very highly regarded among professional artists. His loose, impressionistic style with strong tonal patterning captures the spirit of the place without overstating detail. John’s course is ideal for those wanting to loosen up their technique and paint in the English watercolour manner as epitomised by Edward Seago. John has illustrated several books and is well exhibited nationally.

Years of life drawing have helped to produce the clear, liquid colour by which her paintings are instantly recognisable. She is a sound draughtsman and a tireless tutor who makes it her concern to encourage each student to discover and develop his/her own style.

  Phillip McFadyen is a former art teacher and illustrator who revels in drawing and sketching at every possible opportunity. He will help you see things differently and simply so that you will improve your drawing skills. Phillip has appeared on television sharing his enthusiasm for painting and his ability to link the subject to history and spirituality. He is the Vicar of St George’s Colegate in Norwich where John Crome is buried and has written and illustrated several books.
